SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, may include nights, mornings, and weekends as needed

Pays $29.55 per hour DOE

This position carries a retention bonus of $5000.00, payable in equal instalments of $1000 at 1 month, $1000 at 6 months, and $3000 at 12 months.

This bonus is only available to new, external hires to Pine Street Inn, including temporary staff who are thereafter converted to permanent employment status. This bonus is not available to Pine Street Inn staff or paid interns or paid co-op students who are seeking a transfer to this role. This bonus is only payable for work actually performed in this role. Employees who leave their position before they have worked all the time required for each bonus installment will not be eligible to collect further payment for their prior position, even if they stay at Pine Street Inn in another position.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Behavioral Health Outreach Team consists of clinical and outreach specialist staff working with unsheltered homeless persons in the City of Boston. The program’s primary goal is to move individuals from homelessness into permanent supporting housing. The program components are typically Clinical Intervention, Case Management, and Housing Placement. The Program Supervisor will work alongside the Clinical Supervisor.

The Program Supervisor of the daytime Behavioral Health Outreach Team (BHOT) provides direct supervision to several Clinicians and Outreach Specialists, and, with other program leadership, is responsible for the operations and outcomes of the program. The Program Supervisor will have a housing focus and will work with staff to ensure that guests have individual housing plans that will rapidly lead to safe, affordable housing with the supports necessary to sustain housing.

The Program Supervisor will work within a best practice framework of Stages of Change Theory, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-informed Care and will mitigate barriers to treatment and housing.

This key position will interface with the BHOT Clinical Supervisor, Veterans Outreach Team, Outreach Housing Placement teams, Outreach Van, Shelter Operations, the City of Boston’s Mayor’s Office of Housing, MA Department of Mental Health, MA Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, Boston Housing Authority, Boston Health Care for the Homeless, and the DMH Match Team at the Pine Street Inn to achieve optimal collaboration. The Program Supervisor will identify when team meetings or case conferences are needed related to complex housing needs, assisting with facilitation if needed.
